The community is invited to a sneak preview of LaSalle-Peru Township High School’s recently opened Eureka Savings Bank Agriculture Center. This special event will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 20 outside the Agriculture Center on the corner of Sixth and Creve Coeur streets in LaSalle. School leaders, educators, and students will discuss the building and the opportunities it is creating for agriculture students during the special event. Portions of the building will be open for community members to view. A formal grand opening event is being scheduled later in the fall.

The community is invited to Meet the Cavs on Friday, August 14 in Howard Fellows Stadium. The entire team will do their signature walk out and warmups at 5 p.m. with their typical game day warmups to follow. The Marching Cavaliers and Cavalettes will perform at approximately 5:45 with the Cavalier football program kicking off their 2026 season with a scrimmage to follow. The LP cheerleaders will be showing their school spirit on the sidelines. Fans are asked to donate Gatorade or a similar sports drink for the team.
For students riding a bus this year, the school district's bus provider has adjusted the pick-up schedule. The bus number families received during registration has not changed, just pick-up times/locations.
