Latest Mask Guidance Update (August 2, 2021)

Dear L-P Families:

Earlier today the Illinois State Board of Education released its updated ISBE/IDPH COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions Guidance Document (Click here to download the document.). Per the mask guidance (see page 4), L-P High School is requiring all teachers, staff, students, and visitors to L-P wear a mask while indoors regardless of vaccination status. This goes into effect today.

I know this feels like we’re going backwards and I wish I could provide a different message – but for the time being this is what we must do to ensure compliance with ISBE/IDPH, along with following our legal counsel and guidance from our insurance company. More information on school reopening will be presented to the Board of Education at this Thursday's special meeting in the auditorium at 5:30 pm.
