LPHS GRADUATION 2021 Ticketing Update (May 11, 2021)

Dr. Wrobleski shared this message on May 11, 2021

Dear L-P Senior Parents,

This message is a follow-up to my May 7 communication on graduation details. Below is a link to a survey asking you to share the number of tickets you will need for your family and if you have anyone needing accessible seating. Please complete the survey by Monday, May 17.

L-P continues to adhere to current capacity limits and will be issuing tickets for all attendees. Students will receive “red tickets” based on the current capacity limits.

We are also allowing access above capacity limits for vaccinated spectators. Students will receive “green tickets” for guests who provide proof of full vaccination - defined as 14 days after receiving a final vaccine dose or a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) 1-3 days prior to an event along with a government-issued photo ID (i.e., driver’s license, passport, state ID). These three items – green ticket, proof of vaccination or negative PCR test, and a photo ID – will be required for admission.

Illinois is expected to move into the Bridge Phase on May 14 – which is great news. For our purposes of gathering ticket requests, we are asking you to choose for both Phase 4 and the Bridge Phase guidelines. If the state does not end up going into the Bridge Phase, then at least we’ll have your Phase 4 request.

PHASE 4 – HOWARD FELLOWS
Under current Phase 4 guidelines, we can allow 25% capacity. Therefore, each graduating L-P student will be allowed 4 tickets to graduation that can be used by any guest. Students are also able to receive an additional 5 tickets for any other guest who can provide proof of their full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test (PCR) within the appropriate timeframe and a photo ID - for a possible total of 9 tickets for each student.

BRIDGE PHASE – HOWARD FELLOWS
If the Governor moves the state into the Bridge Phase before graduation, capacity increases to 60%.  If that happens, each student will be given 9 tickets that could be used by any guest as well as the option for an additional 3 tickets for guests who can show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test (PCR) and a photo ID - for a possible total of 12 tickets for each student.

PHASE 4 – SELLETT GYM

If weather requires graduation to move into Sellett Gym, then each student will receive 2 tickets under the current Phase 4 guidance (25% capacity) that could be used by any guest as well as the option for an additional 2 tickets for guests who can show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test (PCR) and a photo ID - for a possible total of 4 tickets for each student.

BRIDGE PHASE – SELLETT GYM

Under the Bridge Phase guidelines (60% capacity), students will receive 5 tickets that could be used by any guest as well as the option for an additional 2 tickets for guests who can show proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test (PCR) and a photo ID - for a possible total of 7 tickets for each student.

Once we have the expected ticket count, then additional information will be released on the logistics for entering Howard Fellows Stadium and/or Sellett Gym.
