Preparing for LPHS Hybrid In-Person/Remote Learning Schedule 2.0 (Oct. 9, 2020)

Dear LP Parents and Students,

Happy Friday! It looks to be one final Indian Summer Weekend; I hope everyone takes some time enjoy the great weather.

I’m writing with an update on the schedule following the end of 1st quarter. Our Reopening Design Team completed our task and have drafted the LPHS Hybrid In-Person/Remote Learning Schedule 2.0. Our team has a plan that continues to meet the ISBE and IDPH guidelines and addresses the feedback shared by staff, students, and parents in our recent surveys.

This plan will be presented to the Board of Education for their review and approval at a special meeting scheduled on Wednesday, October 14 at 5:00 pm. The meeting will be streamed via Zoom at https://lphs.zoom.us/j/89895716096?pwd=V0psT3ZxcXZqdG43N3c0TVVpa3lOZz09.

Pending the Board's approval, we will email the updated plan, implementation timeline, and results of the staff, student, and parent surveys immediately following the Board meeting.
