Attention GSA: today - yes, today - we will finally be able to have our first meeting of 2022! Today’s GSA meeting will be in Mr. Makeever’s room, room 331, after school. Hope you are able to make it and, once again, ALL are welcome!!


FCA will meet in 339 at 7:20 this Thursday, January 20.


Art Club is re-scheduled for Thursday, January 20 at 3:10-4pm in -person in the Art room. Everyone is welcome.


Book club will be meeting on Thursday morning, January 20th, at 7:15 in the library. Anyone is welcome! 


Yearbook will have a meeting after school at 2:50 in Room 156! Snacks will be provided. 🙂 Bring a friend and learn some new photography skills. 


There will be a Polar Plunge meeting on Thursday morning at 7:20.  Anyone who is interested in joining the team will need to attend this meeting.  Please let Mrs. Witte or Mr. Miller know if you cannot attend or have any questions.


The weight room will be open after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday to any student looking to work out. Email Mr. Spudic if you have any questions. 


Hey, want to watch anime and hang out with friends at the same time!? Come by the anime club on Thursday, January 20th in the Dolan Building. We’ll have anime to watch, fun games, and manga ready for you all. Again, the meeting is Thursday, January 20th, after school in the Dolan Building, room D20. If you have any questions, contact Mr. Koesler, or join the Microsoft Teams group.

Hello Cavaliers! Key Club will be having a meeting Tuesday morning in the Cavalier Community Room at 7:25 AM. New members are welcome! If you enjoy volunteering, join us to go over upcoming projects and service ideas to finish out this last half of the school year. We plan on collecting for the food pantry, participating in a kindness rock project, and clean ups for parks once the weather gets warmer. We hope to see you there!


Attention Writing Club:   Our January meeting will be after school this Thursday, January 20 in room 147. New members are always welcome. 


Attention seniors: Please remember that filing the FAFSA is a requirement for graduation.  If you have not done so and would like some help, sign up in the Counseling office to meet with our ISAC rep for one-on-one help with this process.  She is here every Thursday 3rd-5th hours.


Your GPAs and class ranks are now updated in PowerSchool to reflect first semester.   GPAs and ranks are updated after every semester and used senior year especially for college applications and scholarships.  You will always use the most up-to-date GPAs and ranks in PowerSchool.  Please contact your counselor with any questions.


Attention Sophomores and student leaders:  Challenge Day has been postponed.  Please be on the lookout for the rescheduled dates.


Drama Club will have its first meeting of the semester today, January 18th from 2:50-4pm in the Cavalier Community Room;  please have all rides here on time. Let Ms. K know if you have any questions.


Attention seniors:  Do you want free money for college?? Mrs. Swiskoski, IVCC's Scholarship coordinator, will be here on Friday, January 21st during 2nd and 3rd hour to help students with the IVCC Scholarship application.  You may sign up in the Counseling office or email Mrs. Wilson.   (cwilson1@lphs.net) Make sure to bring your chromebook with you.  The meeting will take place in the Cavalier Community Room.


Attention freshmen, sophomores, and juniors:  Registration for next year classes will take place in January and February.  Counselors will conduct classroom lessons to help you select courses, but prepare now by looking over the course offerings on the counseling website and mailed home to you and confirming your PowerSchool login.  You will not be able to register without PowerSchool.  


Attention all seniors: The LP Scholarships applications are now available through February 14 under Available Scholarships on the counseling website.  An email was sent to all seniors with additional information as well.    The deadline to apply is Monday, February 14.  


There is a forensic science club meeting in room 308 after school at 3:10 Thursday.  We will be looking at and testing the validity of lie detectors.  If you have not signed up, you can still come.  The club is open to all grades 9 through 12. 


Attention all students:  On Saturday, January 22nd, Arukah Institute of Healing and the C5 Rural Collaborative are sponsoring a movie night (PG-13) at the LaSalle Auditorium Ballroom to kick off their “You Will Be Found” youth tour.  All area teens and their parents are invited to this FREE event showing the Dear Evan Hansen musical film. The doors open at 5 p.m. offering food, drinks, trivia, giveaways, free merchandise, and resources surrounding mental health and substance use. If you or someone you know are feeling the weight of depression, anxiety, suicidal ideations, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
