There will be Drama Club meetings Monday through Thursday this week from 2:50 - 4:30 in Room 327. Please see Ms. Koukol or the Google Classroom page if you have any questions.
This Friday, February 7th, there will be a Freshman Ring Assembly from 2:15-2:40 in the auditorium. An announcement will be made to dismiss the Freshmen to the auditorium. There will be no assigned seating.
ACCESS testing is this week. For those taking the ACCESS test, freshman and juniors test Tuesday, February 4th. Sophomores and seniors test Thursday, February 6th. Please come to the Cavalier Community Room (101) by 7:45 to begin testing. Any questions, please see Mrs. Liebhart.
There will be an FCCLA Meeting on Tuesday, February 4 at 7:30am in room 316 to finalize Blood Drive plans. See Mrs. Cherveny with questions.
Key Club will NOT be meeting on Tuesday morning. All members are encouraged to come to the East Gym to volunteer before school to finish setting up for the Blood Drive.
There will be a GSA meeting tomorrow after school in room 331.
Debate Club will meet on Wednesday morning at 7:15 a.m. in room 114. We hope to see you there!
A representative from ISAC will be here on Thursday, February 6 during periods 3rd through 5b to help with FAFSA, college applications, and scholarships. Sign up in the Counseling office if interested.
Do you feel the need to compete in some of the video games that you love? Well head down to Video Game Club in room 002 in the east gym building for video games, talking about common topics, and being able to compete in tournaments. This week we will be hosting a tournament in Madden 18, Super Smash Bros, and Brawlhalla. If you don’t think that you are as good as you would like, you can compete anyway. There will be two brackets for skilled and casual competitors. Head down to room 002 in the east gym building today and Thursday for the tournaments.
All students who will take the PSAT or SAT in the Spring will need to return the College Board Consent Form to the Main Office. If you need an additional copy, please see Mrs. Cushing. All forms are due by Friday, February 7.
LEAD will have a meeting on Wednesday, February 5th during your lunch in CCR. See Mrs. Witte if you cannot attend or have questions.

All Blood donors are encouraged to return their paperwork to the Blood Drive table during lunch TODAY! Late paperwork may be turned in on the morning of, at the East Gym. If you are 16 years old and do not return your paperwork ahead, you will not be delivered a pass to come to the Blood Drive. Donors are encouraged to eat iron-rich meals ahead of giving blood and it is especially important to have a healthy breakfast tomorrow morning!
A representative from IVCC will be here tomorrow, February 4th during periods 1-4. They will help you with applications, placement testing, and freshman counseling appointments. Sign up in the Counseling office if interested.
This is a reminder that the deadline for the IVCC scholarships is this Thursday, February 6. Go to www.ivcc.edu/scholarships. This link also lists all scholarships available, general and program specific. There is also a link on the lphs website.
Students attending L-P‘s Sadie dance on February 29th who will be bringing a non-L-P student as their guest, are required to fill out a guest request form. Guest request forms may be picked up at the greeter’s desk or in the School Safety Office. These forms must be returned to the School Safety Office before you purchase a ticket.
Price of tickets are $13.00 for single and $25.00 for couples.
Tickets will be on sale Wednesday, February 19th through Thursday, February 27th during all lunch periods.
Attention students: There have been some recent job postings; you can check the bulletin board outside the counseling office or go to the Counseling website under employment opportunities.
Attention Senior Athletes: Applications for athletic scholarships are now available in the Athletic office. These scholarships range from $300 to $1,000 to further your education. All applications are due by Tuesday February 11th. If you are interested, you can find them on the counseling website or stop in the Athletic Department.
Seniors – please remember to be checking the LP counseling website under the academics tab on the lphs.net for the most up-to-date college visits list and scholarships. Most of the LP scholarships are due on February 11.
