Key Club is hosting a Kids' Day Out this Saturday, January 25th from 1-4 pm. Games, activities, and snacks for children in grades 2nd- 5th. Siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and more are welcome to come run around and beat the winter blues in this fun-filled, $10-per-person event. All proceeds will be donated to the Children's Miracle Network.
IVCC is hosting a scholarship workshop tomorrow evening, January 22 for students applying to IVCC scholarships. Please contact IVCC for more information.
The IVCC Foundation is happy to announce that the scholarship application is online. www.ivcc.edu/scholarships. This link also lists all scholarships available, general and program specific. The deadline is Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020. There is also a link on the lphs website.
Attention seniors: Make sure to check out the lphs.net website for up to date scholarships- look under the lp scholarships, miscellaneous, and Illinois Valley Scholarships. Most of the LP scholarships are due on February 11th.
Debate club will meet on Wednesday, January 22nd in room 114 at 7:15 a.m. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Do you enjoy video games? Well, if so we got the club for you. Come over to Video Game Club in room 002 in the East Gym, right across from the welding shop this Thursday. Our meeting will begin at 3:00, so if you’re interested come on by.

Students, do you need help writing an essay or resume, understanding a poem, retaking a test, or preparing for the SAT or AP English exams? If so, come to English tutoring with Ms. West in Room 156, from 3:10-4:10 on Tuesday, or with Mr. Guenther in Room 146, from 7:00-7:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. See your English teacher to arrange for materials to be ready for you.
Students attending L-P‘s Sadie dance on February 29th who will be bringing a non-L-P student as their guest, are required to fill out a guest request form. Guest request forms may be picked up at the greeter’s desk or in the school safety office. These forms must be returned to Mrs. Skoog in the School safety office before you purchase a ticket.
Price of tickets are $13.00 for single and $25.00 for couples.
Tickets will be on sale Wednesday, February 19th through Thursday, February 27th during all lunch periods.
A representative from ISAC will be here every Thursday from 3rd through 5b. She can help with college applications, personal statements, financial aid assistance, and FAFSA. Sign up in the Counseling office if interested.
Attention Senior Athletes: Applications for athletic scholarships are now available in the Athletic office. These scholarships range from $300 to $1,000 to further your education. All applications are due by Tuesday February 11th. If you are interested, you can find them on the counseling website or stop in the Athletic Department.
