Happy birthday to Emma Hoffman, Nicholas Lauer, Adrian Silva, Abraham Delgado, and Katie Turri.


This is a reminder that DSP and Detention are both moved back to room 102.


On Thursday, November 14th   there will be a Cap and Gown assembly for all graduating seniors from 2:10 to 2:40 in the Auditorium. An announcement will be made to dismiss graduating seniors to the auditorium.


There will be a yearbook meeting right after school in Room 156 on Tuesday, November 12. 


There is an FCA meeting in Coach Mundt’s room 339 Wednesday morning at 7:15.


Wednesday after school there will be a quick meeting for anyone who has thought about doing track in the spring in Room 325 - if you can’t make it, please see Mr. Spencer at some point next this week


Attention Students: The Tireless and Staff Award are given to a Faculty and Staff member who have shown dedication and commitment to the students of LaSalle-Peru High School. These individuals or groups go above and beyond daily to provide our students with an environment that encourages and supports excellence. Nominations for both the Tireless and Staff awards have been sent to student emails. Please nominate as many faculty and staff members as you would like by Friday, November 22.


Attention Renaissance Members: There will be a meeting after school today in Room 327.


There will be an intramural bags tournament on Wednesday November 13 at 7:00 in the north balcony. Sign up your team of 2 outside the PE office. Any questions, see Coach Keating.


Freshmen and Sophomore Boards will meet Wednesday, November 13th at 7:30 in Room 136.


There will be a junior board meeting Wednesday, November 13 at 7:20 am in Mrs. Hartman’s room. – room 338.


There will be a GSA meeting tomorrow after school in room #331 where we will have snacks and try to watch more of the movie, "A Silent Voice"... hope to see you there!


Drama Club will be selling tickets for the Fall Play, Law and Order: Fairy Tale Unit during all lunch periods next week, November 18th through November 22nd. LP Students with their student ID and Children ages 3 to 13 are $3, Faculty and Staff and children under 3 are Free and Adults are $5. Tickets will also be sold at the door.


Rehearsal for the Fall Play will be in the Auditorium Monday and Tuesday until 5pm and Wednesday and Thursday until 5:30pm in the Cavalier Community Room. 


Are you interested in Science or Engineering? Please attend a brief informational meeting Tuesday morning at 7:30 in Mr. Bjerkaas’ room 341 to find out more about ACES – the Academic Challenge in the Engineering Sciences. See Mr. Bjerkaas if you’re unable to make the meeting.


Do you want to learn to build a website or write a program? Computer Club coders meet every Friday after school in room 341. New members are always welcome!


There will be an Art Club Meeting in Room 224 on Thursday, November 14 from 2:45-3:45. 


Attention Book Club members:  Our next meeting will be Friday, November 15th at 7:15am in the Library.  Please join Mrs. Meyer and Mrs. Sadnick for a light breakfast and to discuss the book City of BonesNew members are always welcome!


Attend Explore IVCC this week on Wednesday, November 13 from 5:30-8 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about their degree path, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and see where they’ll study on campus. Visit IVCC to take the next step toward your future goals. RSVPs are encouraged:


Attention Seniors: Daniela Rios of ISAC will be here on Thursday during periods 3, 4, 5a and 5b to offer direct assistance with college applications and FAFSA.  Please visit the counseling office if you would like to sign up.


There is an opportunity for a $1000 scholarship per year for students who are accepted to North Central College. Check the counseling website under miscellaneous scholarships for more information.


Are you a senior that has been accepted to a college, military branch, apprenticeship, or the workforce post high school? Stop by the counseling office to add your name to our acceptance wall in celebration of your success and for a chance to win a gift card.


Attention sophomores and juniors: ACC sign-ups for next school year will begin on December 2nd. You can sign up at that time in the Counseling office.


Attention seniors: sign up for the next College 101 on Tuesday, December 10th in the Counseling Office to find out next steps in the college-going process.

The following college representatives will be here this month:

Tuesday, November 12th – a representative from the U.S. Marines – 4th hour -there will be a $180,000 scholarship opportunity to a 4 year university and no obligation for application. Students accepted and interested in attending their university of choice will become commissioned officers in the Marine Corp. Sign up in the counseling office if interested.

The marines will also be here during 5th hour on Tuesday during all lunches.

Wednesday, November 20th – Morrison Tech – 3rd hour

Interested students can sign up in the Counseling office to meet with any of these representatives.
