This week Drama Club will have rehearsal for the Fall Play today and Thursday in Room 327 until 4pm. If you have any questions, see or email Ms. Koukol. As always, new members are always welcome!

 

There will be a GSA meeting today after school in room #331!... treats provided!

 

Are you interested in anime, manga, or Japanese culture? If so, Anime club is for you!  We will be meeting this Thursday after school in the Dolan building, room D20; everyone is welcome to be part of the fun.

 

Attention Freshman and Sophomores: We are looking for energetic Freshmen and Sophomores to be leaders! Join Freshman and Sophomore Board!  We are having a meeting Wednesday, October 16th at 7:30am in Room 136. Bring a friend!

 

There will be an FCA Meeting in Coach Mundt’s Room 339 Wednesday morning at 7:20.

 

Key Club is running its annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign to raise money for the EliMiNate Project. This project sponsors vaccinations against maternal and neonatal tetanus. We are seeking to fill 50 "envelopes" to reach a $1000 donation. Individual, group, or classroom pools are welcome. There will be open gym at the east gym 3 to 4 pm Tuesday and Thursday. Any questions, ask Coach Guenther or Kennedy. 

 

As always, Key Club met this Tuesday morning at 7:15 AM. Missed the meeting? No problem! Check out our Google classroom for the highlights and sign-up sheets for volunteer opportunities. Remember, we will be continuing to collect dues and t-shirt money at next week's meeting on October 22nd. 

 

The FAFSA Parent Power Session is scheduled for this Wednesday, October 16th starting at 6:00 p.m. for seniors and their parents. It will be held in room 326. We also encourage seniors to sign up for the next college 101 session on October 25 for FAFSA and college application assistance. Sign up in the Counseling Office.

 

For any students interested in competitive cheer season, there will be an open practice on Thursday, October 17th, from 5:00-6:15 in the north balcony. Tryouts will be on Monday, October 21st, at 5:30 in the north balcony.

 

Hello Seniors! Do you need help filling out a college application or with your FAFSA application? The counselors are hosting a College & FAFSA Application Day on October 25th - all class periods. To sign up, please come to the Counseling Office to reserve which period you would like to be called in. You will get sent a pass, and we will meet in Collaboration Room 327. Help will be available to answer any questions and assist you in completing these applications. Hope to see you then!

 

Attention students: YSB is partnering with Heritage Harbor to put on a “Pumpkin Flotilla Festival” held on October 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There are many activities planned for the day including a 5K Fun Run/Jog/Walk at 10:30 around the harbor. Check out the posters located outside the Counseling office for all the different events.

 

Hi Cavaliers! The Cavalier Choice Awards, hosted by the Ell Ess Pe Yearbook staff, is coming up soon on Friday, November 8th at 7 PM in the auditorium. The winners of the many superlatives depend on your vote! Round 2 voting has started! Voting will end on Friday, October 18th. Make sure to participate and submit your vote to the link found in your email!
