AP Exam payments are due in the Bookstore tomorrow. If your money is not turned in, then an exam will not be ordered, even if you selected “yes” in the online registration. AP Exam money is due October 1.
Attention Seniors: if you plan to submit a portrait other than your LifeTouch photo, the photo and Photographer Release Form are due by Friday, October 11. No portraits or release forms will be accepted late. If you have questions, please see Hope Beelman or Ms. West.
There will be an FCA meeting in Coach Mundt’s room--Room 339 Wednesday morning.
Drama Club will be meeting in the Alumni Room, today, Monday September 30th, after school. If you have any questions, please see or email Ms. Koukol.
Key Club will be meeting on Tuesday morning at 7:15 AM. We will not be meeting in the Cavalier Community Room, but in room 327 instead for two weeks, October 1st and 8th. Members are reminded to bring a friend to be entered to win a prize!
The Fall Blood Drive will be this Thursday, October 3rd. Everyone signed up to be a donor is encouraged to return their School Sponsored Absence Request form and if 16, their Parent Permission form, to the Blood Drive lunch table. Remember to have iron rich foods like nuts, red meat, beans, rice, etc. and it's important to have a hearty breakfast and lunch on the day you donate. Please contact Miss. Loving if you have any questions.
There will be a meeting for anyone interested in Scholastic Bowl on Tuesday, October 1st in room 124 before school from 7:15-7:35 and after school from 2:45-3:05. Make sure you attend one of the meetings.
Attention Yearbook Staff: We will have a mandatory meeting, Tuesday, October 1st in Room 156 right after school. We will discuss Cav Choice and Drive for Your School.
There will be a Foreign Language Club meeting this Wednesday, October 2 at 7:20am in Room 137.
Hi Cavaliers! The Cavalier Choice Awards, hosted by the Ell Ess Pe Yearbook staff, is coming up soon on Friday, November 8th at 7 PM in the auditorium. The winners of the many superlatives depend on your vote! The first round consists of nominating 4 peers that you believe hold the qualities of the superlatives. Round 1 voting will end on Wednesday, October 2nd. Make sure to participate and submit your vote to the link found in your email!

Are you a high school student who’s making a difference through volunteering? Apply for a 2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Award, and you could win $1,000 or more, a beautifully engraved medallion, and an all-expense paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington D.C. in May for four days of special recognition events. The 2019 bowling season is about to be underway. Coach Miller will be available after school tomorrow in the main office to answer any questions if you are interested in bowling this winter. There are four non-mandatory open bowling events at the IV Superbowl in Peru, for anyone wanting to get a jump start on the season. The dates are October 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th from 3:30-5:00, and the cost is $2.50 per game.
Attention Science Club: Be sure to attend the meeting this Friday, October 4th right after school in room 308! You won't want to miss the decorating competition! See you there!

There will be an intramural whiffle ball tournament on Wednesday, October 9 starting at 7:00 in the Sellett gym. Sign up your team of 7 people outside the PE office. Any questions, see Coach Keating.

Those who are 16 will need to complete a parent permission form. All donors will need to complete a school sponsored absence request form. All forms should be returned to the sign-up table. Hello Seniors! Do you need help filling out a college application or with your FAFSA application? The counselors are hosting a College & FAFSA Application Day on October 25th - all class periods. To sign up, please come to the Counseling Office to reserve which period you would like to be called in. You will get sent a pass, and we will meet in Collaboration Room 327. Help will be available to answer any questions and assist you in competing these applications. Hope to see you then!
IVCC is hosting an ag open house and college fair Tuesday, October 8 in rooms CTC124-125 of the Peter Miller Community Technology Center.
Day and evening sessions are offered:
- Session 1 is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (lunch included) and
- Session 2 is 6 to 8 p.m.
