Congratulations to students who earned a Renaissance Card! Be sure to keep your Renaissance Card in a safe place, such as in your ID plastic on your lanyard. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced. If you think that you received the wrong card, see Ms. Henry or Mrs. Ganze before or after school. Also, this Thursday is the first Thursday of the month, which means that cards holders can use their Early Lunch perk to head to the cafeteria up to five minutes early. Be sure to give your card to your teacher to hole-punch before you leave.
Key Club is having so much fun at our morning meetings! Every week we're having new games and learning about all of the great service projects we do throughout the year. Interested? We meet every Tuesday morning at 7:15 AM in the Cavalier Community Room.
LEAD will be hosting a Breakfast social on Wednesday, September 4th at 7:00 am downstairs in CCR. Come join us and learn more about LEAD.
There is a GSA meeting TODAY after school in room #331... and you know the meeting bonus: COOKIES!
Attention Seniors: if you plan to submit a portrait than your LifeTouch photo, the photo and Photographer Release Form are due by Friday, October 11. No portraits or release forms will be accepted late. If you have questions, please see Hope Beelman or Ms. West.
The Cavalier Choice Awards will be held on Friday, November 8th at 7 PM in the auditorium and would love to see our incredible students try out to be a host or talent for the show. Tryouts will be held from September 9th to the 13th after school in Ms. West's room, 156. If interested or would like more information, please see Ms. West or Hope Beelman. Hope to see you there!
TOPS club will be having their first meeting on Thursday, September 5th at 7:15 in the Cavalier Community Room . TOPS focuses on activities to promote positivity and prevention at LPHS and in the community. Please join us; new members are welcome.
Yearbook club will have a meeting Tuesday, September 3rd right after school in room 156.
Variety Show tryouts are September 11 & 12 from 3:00 – 5:00. Please see Mrs. Hartman to schedule your audition time.
Junior Board will have a meeting Wednesday morning at 7:20 in Mrs. Hartman’s room.
There will be open gyms Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 and 8:30 at Sellett gym. Any questions ask Coaches Miller, Guenther, Kennedy, or Vickery.
There will be a FCA meeting Wednesday morning at 7:15 in Coach Mundt’s room 339. FCA is Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and during the meeting we connect God’s Word to our everyday life and activities. Please join us!

Student Council will be meeting on Friday at 7:10 AM in Mr. Zukowski’s room 340.
There will be an intramural dodgeball tournament on Wednesday, September 11th at 7:00 p.m. in the Sellett Gym. Sign your team of 6 people up outside the PE office. Any questions, see Coach Keating.
Attention juniors: All juniors have the option to sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT exam, which will enter you into the National Merit Scholarship competition. It will be held in the morning on October 16. The cost of the exam is $17.00. Due to the nature of this exam, no make-up dates or late arrivals will be allowed. Please register for the PSAT/NMSQT exam at the Bookstore no later than Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
Students attending L-P‘s homecoming dance on September 28th who will be bringing a non-L-P student as their guest, are required to fill out a guest request form. Guest request forms may be picked up at the greeter’s desk or in the school safety office. These forms must be returned to Mrs. Skoog in the School safety office before you purchase a ticket. We will not accept any forms after September 23rd.
Tickets go on sale Sept 23rd through Sept 27th during all lunch periods.
There are at least 18 colleges scheduled to visit during the month of September and October. Come on into the Counseling office to sign up to meet with any of these representatives. They are also posted on the lphs website and outside of the Counseling office.
YSB is partnering with Heritage Harbor to put on a “Pumpkin Flotilla Festival” on October 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. They have many activities planned for the day including a 5K Fun Run/Jog/Walk at 10:30 around the harbor in Ottawa. More information will be coming.
