Students DO NOT need to have an interest in the military to take this assessment, however, this assessment is also used to determine qualification and placement within the armed forces. In honor of National Suicide Prevention week, Student Support Services has some activities planned. Please stop by and write your favorite positive affirmation on the “You Matter” banner located in the cafeteria during all lunches on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, teachers, please bring your students to write their favorite positive affirmations in sidewalk chalk at the clock tower entrance! We will be out there during 2nd, 3rd, and 7th period. Please stay tuned because each morning this week we will be on the announcements with a quick mindfulness activity or coping skill. For today, we are asking everyone to practice self-compassion. Anxiety can fill you with self-doubt and make you feel bad about yourself. Let go of your negative thoughts about yourself and focus on more positive self-talk. I challenge you to write down 5 positive things about yourself. If you are having a hard time, try to think about what your best friend or a close family member would say they love about you.

The annual girl’s Powder Puff flag football game will be Thursday, October 5th, after the homecoming parade.  Email or talk to Mr. Zukowski by Friday, September 15th, if you are interested in playing.
