Please join Key Club in the Cavalier Community Room at 7:25 on Tuesday morning. We have several projects we will be planning to help our school, community, and the world around us. New members are always welcome!
Attention Freshmen: the Jostens rep will be here tomorrow, Tuesday, February 7th for an assembly. You will be given information about ordering class rings and/or other class jewelry. There will be an announcement to dismiss you from class at 2:15. The Jostens rep will return on Thursday, February 16th to take orders during all lunch hours.
Sadie is right around the corner. If you plan to bring a guest from outside of our LP Student body, please stop by the School Safety office anytime to get a Guest Request Form. They are available starting today and will be due on February 18.
Attention Cavaliers, our Sadie Hawkins dance is coming up soon, so it is time to vote for this year's Daisy Mae and Lil' Abner to have them crowned! A voting form has been sent to all students' emails. First round of voting ends this Friday, February 10th so be sure to check your email and place your vote!
Attention seniors: The Regional Office of Education has scholarship opportunities on their website: www.roe35.org. The applications must be received by the scholarship provider before or on the due date.

The weight room will be open after school Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday!
Attention all Junior Board Members: Candy Bars will be delivered on Wednesday, February 8th. Please watch the classroom page for notifications on when they will be available for pick up.
There will be an FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) meeting at 7:15AM on Thursday, February 9th in Room 324. New members are always welcome, so please stop by if you are interested or see one of the Business Department teachers for details.
The Art Club will be meeting Thursday, February 9th after school until 4pm in the Art Room 225. We will be working on our "From Harm to Hope " pieces. All are welcome to attend. Have an art-filled day!
Attention GSA: Tomorrow after school we will finish decorating the display case inside the clock tower entrance. Meet at Mr. Makeever's room after school to start the meeting, #331, and then we will move to the display case after our snacks and weekly check ins. Hope to see YOU there!!
Attention Cavaliers! On Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on February 7th the Cavs’ Sip-n-Savor will be open during your lunch period to provide you the opportunity to purchase Coffees, Loaded Teas, Regular Teas and Hot Chocolate. Cash only, hot drinks will cost $1 and Cold drinks will be $2. Hope to see you on Tuesday!
Attention seniors: This is a reminder that the ISAC representative will be here on Thursday, February 9th from 10:30 to 12:30. This is for help with the FAFSA graduation requirement and college/financial aid assistance. Sign up in the Counseling office if interested.
Are you a senior planning on attending IVCC? Then sign up for this outstanding opportunity on Tuesday, February 28 to meet IVCC representatives, tour the campus, receive assistance with the IVCC application, and sign up for placement testing. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by Wednesday, February 15 at 1:46 p.m. Please check your email for further details. Contact the Counseling Office if you have any questions.
Attention Seniors. The LaSalle-Peru Township High School Honor Society recognizes senior students who excel in scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Students who have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.5 and have participated in 2 sports, clubs, or organizations both junior and senior years are eligible to complete the application to the Society. SENIORS CHECK YOUR EMAIL. All eligible seniors have been sent an email with the application. Applications are also available at the Greeter’s desk and must be returned to the Principal’s Office by Wednesday, February 15th.
Also, a list of students who are eligible to apply based on GPA is posted outside the Counseling Office along with a complete list of sports, clubs, and organizations. Please see your counselor with any questions.
This is a reminder to all seniors that the LP scholarships are due next Monday, February 13. Go to www.LPHS.net/counseling and click available scholarships to view the LP scholarships and access the summary document to find the applications.
Need volunteer hours? Are you interested in Health, Wellness, or the Metaphysical industry?
The Westclox Metaphysical and Wellness Fair will be held on February 25, 2023. They are looking for volunteers to run a variety of stations with free opportunities to participate in sessions as well.
Some of the requirements may include but are not limited to: photographing, creating social media content, assisting in audience Q&A, and handing out materials from the presenting speakers.
