Need volunteer hours? Are you interested in Health, Wellness, or the Metaphysical industry? 
 
The Westclox Metaphysical and Wellness Fair will be held on February 25, 2023. They are looking for volunteers to run a variety of stations with free opportunities to participate in sessions as well. 
 
Some of the requirements may include but are not limited to: photographing, creating social media content, assisting in audience Q&A, and handing out materials from the presenting speakers.

The summer school driver ed forms are available for pick up in the Counseling Office.  You must be 15 years of age on or before May 30 and passed 8 courses during the previous two semesters in high school.  The deadline for registration is Friday, February 17.

 

Please join Key Club in the Cavalier Community Room at 7:25 on Tuesday morning. We have several projects we will be planning to help our school, community, and the world around us. New members are always welcome! 

 

Sadie is right around the corner. If you plan to bring a guest from outside of our LP Student body, please stop by the School Safety office anytime to get a Guest Request Form. They are available starting today and will be due on February 18.

 

There will be a yearbook meeting every Thursday after school. We are working on Sadie decorations, and we are looking for creative artists! All students are welcome. (Did we mention there will be snacks?) 

 

Attention Freshmen and Sophomore Board: We will meet today after school in Mrs. Liebhart’s room, room 136 to make Valentine’s for seniors in long term care facilities. Come join us for some fun and crafting!

 

There will be a Foreign Language Club meeting Wednesday, February 1st at 7:25 in Room 137.

 

Attention GSA: There will be a meeting tomorrow after school in Mr. Makeever's room, room #331. At tomorrow's GSA meeting, we will be preparing more informational material to go in the display case. Hope to see you there!

 

Attention all Spring Sport Athletes:   Spring Registration is now open.  Please visit the LP Athletics webpage to register.

 

TOPS club will meet right after school on Tuesday, January 31st in the health room (116). Our goal is to make valentines day cards for seniors living in long term care facilities.  Everyone is welcome.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Blessman.

 

Attention Freshmen: the Jostens rep will be here on Tuesday, February 7th for an assembly. You will be given information about ordering class rings and/or other class jewelry. There will be an announcement to dismiss you from class at 2:15. The Jostens rep will return on Thursday, February 16th to take orders during all lunch hours.

 

There will be a Yearbook meeting Thursday after school in room 156. We will be creating Sadie Decorations! All are welcome!

 

Hey Cavaliers, it's time to start thinking about Sadie! Sadie is Saturday, February 25th from 7-10pm in the Sellett Gym. Have you asked someone to be your date yet? If not that's okay, no date is needed for this dance! And there is no need to dress up or be fancy! Come listen and dance to good music. We will be selling popcorn, cotton candy, and water at the dance. Tickets will be on sale from February 16th to the 23rd during all lunch periods. Tickets are $10 for a single and $20 for a couple. We can't wait to see you there!

 

Jenna from ISAC will be here on Thursday, February 2nd from 10:30 to 12:30.  Students can sign up in the Counseling Office.

 

Attention seniors:  There’s a recent scholarship that was posted under Illinois Valley Scholarships entitled “LaSalle County Association for Home and Community Education.”  They are giving away 2 - $500 scholarships.  Check it out under the lphs.net website.
