All students taking the ACCESS exam this year: Don’t forget to join Mrs. Liebhart tomorrow, January 24th, during your regular lunch hour in the CCR (Room 101). A brief ACCESS test presentation will be given, and a free lunch will be provided.  

 

There will be a Foreign Language Club meeting Wednesday, January 25th at 7:20. Room 137

 

Need volunteer hours? Are you interested in Health, Wellness, or the Metaphysical industry? 
 
The Westclox Metaphysical and Wellness Fair will be held on February 25, 2023. They are looking for volunteers to run a variety of stations with free opportunities to participate in sessions as well. 
 
Some of the requirements may include but are not limited to: photographing, creating social media content, assisting in audience Q&A, and handing out materials from the presenting speakers.   If you are interested in being a part of this event, please email ivwellnessevent@gmail.com or call 815-993-1557 by February 20. 
 

 

Attention Art Club: We will have a brief meeting to discuss the schedule for painting the YMCA mural. Please come to the art room after school on Thursday, Jan 26th. The meeting will be approximately 15 minutes. 

 

The summer school driver ed forms are now available for pick up in the Counseling Office.  You must be 15 years of age on or before May 30, 2023 and passed 8 courses during the previous two semesters in high school.  The deadline for registration is Friday, February 17.

 

Girls Soccer preseason starts today, January 23rd.  Meet in cafeteria- Monday through Thursday after school which will last about 90 minutes.

 

The weight room will be open after school Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday for any students looking to workout. See you there! 

 

Attention AP US Government Students: Friday is the decision deadline for indicating whether or not you will be taking the AP Exam. Please be sure to go into your College Board account and select either “YES” or “NO” by Friday. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Clydesdale or Mr. Gibson.

 

Don’t forget, on Wednesday we are on a Harbor Homeroom schedule.  The topic is grit and persevering through difficult times to accomplish your goal.

 

Hey Cavaliers, don't forget to get your Sadie dates. The dance is February 25th from 7-10pm in the Sellet Gym! No need to dress up for this dance. Come and enjoy a night of good music and fun! 

 

There will be a yearbook meeting every Thursday after school. We are working on Sadie decorations, and we are looking for creative artists! All students are welcome. (Did we mention there will be snacks?) 

 

There will be a Senior Board meeting on Wednesday, January 25th at 7:15 in room 313.

 

There will be a Renaissance meeting after school today until 3:15 in the Cavalier Community Room. New members are always welcome!

 

There is a Forensic Club meeting on Thursday, January 26 in room 308.  Anyone interested in forensic science is welcome!

 

Anyone wanting to set some New Year’s fitness goals in the cardio room?  It is open every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:45-4:15.  Need any help planning or starting a cardio program?  Come see Ms. Gibson and we will get you started.

 

Attention GSA: There will be a meeting tomorrow after school in Mr. Makeever's room, room #331. At this meeting we will get everything prepared and finalized to decorate the display case by the clock tower entrance at next Tuesday's meeting. Hope to see you there... ALL are welcome and invited to come to the GSA meetings!

 

Attention Math team members, There is a meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 24th either before school or after school. Please stop by and see Mrs. Monohan or Mrs. Patrick and bring your signed Permission Slip.

 

Attention Writing Club:  Hope to see everyone at the meeting on Thursday, January 26 from 2:45 - 3:30 p.m. in room 147. New members are always welcome. 

 

Please join Key Club in the Cavalier Community Room at 7:25 on Tuesday morning. We have several projects we will be planning to help our school, community, and the world around us. New members are always welcome! 

 

Attention seniors:  The ISAC representative will be here today from 10:30 to 12:30.  This is for help with the FAFSA graduation requirement and college/financial aid assistance.  Sign up or stop by during that time in the Counseling Office.

 

A representative from St. Francis College of Nursing will be here on Thursday, January 26th during 2nd hour.  Sign up in the Counseling Office to meet with this representative.
