Hello Cavaliers! Key Club will meet Tuesday mornings in the Cavalier Community Room at 7:25 AM. Key Club is the largest student-let high school organization, and members have the opportunity to work on service projects, build character, and develop leadership skills. We have several exciting projects we will be working on this year to help our school, community, and the world around us. New members are always welcome! We hope you will join us tomorrow in the CCR!
Variety Show Try-Outs are Tuesday, September 13 at 3:00 in the East Gym. Please see Mrs. Hartman in room 338 if you are interested in participating.
Calling all Seniors that are interested in being a part of the Senior Dance at the Variety Show! Please meet in Mrs. Hartman’s room Thursday, September 15 at 7:20 for a brief meeting.
The Homecoming Dance is set for Saturday, October 1st, at 7PM in the Sellett Gym. Tickets & T-shirts will be on sale the entire week during all lunches, starting Monday, September 26th.
Homecoming guest forms for attendees from outside of LP are available to pick up at the Greeters desk and need to be turned in by September 23.
Attention Juniors: Registration for the PSAT/NMSQT is now open. The PSAT is a voluntary exam to help juniors prepare for the SAT and will be administered on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. The cost of the exam is $18 and should be paid at the bookstore when you register. The deadline to register is tomorrow, September 13. Please contact Mr. Gibson if you have any questions about the PSAT.
The ASVAB test is being offered on Tuesday, October 25th beginning at 7:45. Interested sophomores, juniors, or seniors can sign up in the Counseling office. This test is beneficial to gain additional experience in standardized testing and for those interested in a potential military branch. Please see your counselor for more information.
We have received numerous donations of homecoming dresses and men's dress clothes. If you would like to visit the Cavs closet, please contact your counselor.
Interested in becoming a member of LP's first mock trial team or learning more about mock trial? Come to our informational meeting on Tuesday, September 27, at 2:45 p.m. in the Cavalier Community Room. This program can help you develop leadership and public speaking skills. You will create arguments and witness questions from a problem published by the Illinois State Bar Association. You will present your case to attorneys and judges at competitions.
There will be an FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) meeting in Room 323 at 7:15 AM on Friday September 16. Anyone interested is welcome to join.
Foreign Language Club will have a meeting Wednesday at 7:25 in Room 137. Anyone interested in joining please attend.

All choir students attending the ILMEA workshop at Bradley University on Tuesday, please meet at 4:30 p.m. We will be leaving for Peoria at 4:40 p.m. sharp.
Are you interested in 3-D printing, design, mechanics, or coding? Technology Club is meeting up this Thursday in room E 115 in the East Gym Building after school. Everyone is welcome.
Attention seniors: College 101 will be rescheduled to next Thursday, September 15th during 2nd and 6th hour in the Cavalier Community room. This is for seniors looking to work on college or other post high school applications. Sign up in the counseling office or email Mrs. Wilson: firstname.lastname@example.org. Participants will also have a chance at winning prizes.
