LaSalle-Peru Township High School Athletic Director Dan Le was honored as one of the New Athletic Directors of the Year by the Illinois Athletic Directors Association during the IADA’s State Conference this week.
The award recognized Le’s commitment, desire, loyalty, character, and leadership qualities to administer a high school athletic program which exemplifies the highest standards of discipline, honesty, and dignity. Le was one of three AD’s in Illinois recognized this year. The New AD of the Year award was started in 2021 to celebrate the good works of any 1st year AD that is also a member of the IADA. Candidates are nominated by their peers and reviewed by the IADA Board. Winners are chosen based on the accomplishments and good works they have performed in their school in that year.
Dr. Steven Wrobleski, LPHS superintendent said, “We are incredibly proud of Mr. Dan Le’s recognition as one of the IADA’s New Athletic Directors of the Year. I’m happy that Dan’s qualities as a leader were recognized by his peers – especially as we see daily the great work Dan does to support the athletics and activities program at L-P.”
