Seventeen Cavaliers Selected for ILMEA District Festivals
LaSalle-Peru Township High School continues the trend of having a large group of band and choir students chosen to perform in the Illinois Music Education Association District 2 Festivals.
Seventeen LP students were selected through an audition process to perform in the ILMEA Band, Choir, Jazz, and Orchestra Festivals this fall. The top student musicians in the state’s nine districts who participate in the district-level festivals will then be selected to perform in an all-state performance later in the academic year.
"Each student worked hard to audition for ILMEA amongst thousands of other students throughout District 2. We are grateful for the opportunity to audition, and we are incredibly proud of the work our students put in everyday to be the best that they can be," Matthew Butler, LP Choir Director, said.
LP Band Director Paula Tuttle added, "All of these students worked exceptionally hard to earn this opportunity to perform with the ILMEA District Programs. We are extremely proud of these student musicians and know that they will be a great representation of our programs."
