The LaSalle-Peru Township High School Board of Education on Tuesday approved hiring Michael Kuziel of Joliet as Athletic Director for the 2022-2023 school year.
Kuziel has served as athletic director for Hufford Junior High School in Joliet since July 2016. He has also taught physical education at Hufford. He has past experience coaching water polo, swimming, and diving.
“Michael stood out with the range of experience he’s had not only as a head coach at the high school level but with his experience at his middle school, which is a little bit bigger than L-P,” Dr. Steven Wrobleski, LPHS Superintendent, said. “He’s not had experience with high school athletics as an athletic director, but he’s had really good experience working with the IESA and organizing state series at that level.”
Kuziel has bachelor’s degrees from Benedictine University and Aurora University and a Master of Education degree from Benedictine University.
