Regular Meetings September 20, 2023 Regular Meeting Agenda and Minutes: Agenda Minutes Board Meeting Summary: During its Regular Board Meeting held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 the Board of Education accomplished the following items. Held a Public Hearing on the FY 2024 L-P and ACC Budgets. Approved the minutes of the August 16, 2023 Regular Meeting and the August 23, 2023 Special Meeting. An opportunity for public comment was offered. The Special Education Division was spotlighted, featuring Mrs. Kristie Witte and students discussing the Sip ‘n’ Savor program. Approved monthly L-P bills, ACC bills, payroll, and financial statements. Received TIF Reimbursements from City of LaSalle ($84,614.07), Village of North Utica (TIF 1, $34,130.41, & TIF 2, $9,122.74), and Village of Oglesby (TIF VI, $13,918.01) for a total of $141,785.23. Mr. Ferrari presented the Building and Grounds Committee Report. Mr. Merboth presented the Finance Committee Report. Dr. Wrobleski presented the Superintendent’s Report, sharing information on the annual health/life safety report, a proposed Board Retreat to review the Strategic Plan, hosting a site safety workshop, and upcoming school speaker. Mrs. Cushing presented the Principal’s Report, sharing information on the rollout of tutoring for the semester, PLC enhancements, digital PSAT testing, safety drills, and the Students of the Month breakfast ceremony. Mr. Hanson presented the Athletic Director’s Report, sharing information on recent and upcoming athletic activities, including the upcoming pink night for volleyball to benefit Cops4Cancer. Mr. Mentgen presented the Area Career Center Director’s report, sharing information on student enrollment, ACC Students of the Month, the latest community/industry support/activities, the upcoming Auto Show, and Hot Dog Day. Mr. Baker presented the Director of Communication Report, sharing information on recent communication office activities and the upcoming L-P Foundation Family Dinner.
