Regular Meetings September 18, 2024, Regular Meeting Agenda and Minutes: Agenda Minutes Meeting Summary During its Regular Board Meeting held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the Board of Education accomplished the following items. 1. Held a public hearing on the L-P and ACC FY 2025 Budgets, featuring public comment from a community member questioning the projected tax rate in the coming year. 2. Approved the minutes of the August 14, 2024, Regular Meeting. 3. Recognized Mrs. Andrea Eichelkraut and the Renaissance leadership team for their performance at the 2024 Jostens Renaissance Global Conference. 4. Mrs. Gladys Ramey presented the Division Spotlight, discussing recent activities in Fine Arts and World Languages. 5. Students Molly Mudge and Mollie Thomson provided public comment regarding the re-establishment of the L-P Ag Program. 6. Approved monthly L-P bills, ACC bills, payroll, and financial statements. 7. Received correspondence from Mrs. Cheri DePaepe and Mrs. Julie Jenkins. 8. Received TIF reimbursements from City of LaSalle for $173,796.08. 9. Mr. Ferrari presented the Building and Grounds Committee Report. 10. Mr. Merboth presented the Finance Committee Report. 11. Mrs. Alcorn presented the Policy Committee Report. 12. Dr. Wrobleski presented the Superintendent’s Report, sharing information on the proposed budget, the recent annual audit process, the upcoming ROE inspection, and FOIA requests. 13. Mrs. Cushing presented the Principal’s Report, sharing information on the pre-Huddles/Huddles, the extended Wednesday program, electronic device violations, positive office referrals, and ROE teacher-leader roundtable presenters. 14. Dr. Lange presented the ACC Director’s Report, sharing information on the upcoming Auto Program car show, plans to collaborate with school counselors to support the ACC, the Manufacturing Expo, plans for an Art Club mural in the Dolan Building, creating an advisory community to guide the computer program. 15. Mr. Baker presented the Communication Report, sharing information on start of the year communication projects and upcoming L-P Foundation Family Dinner. 16. Adopted the LaSalle-Peru Township High School FY2025 Budget 17. Adopted the LaSalle-Peru Area Career Center FY2025 Budget 18. Adopted the 2024-2025 ACC Joint Agreement 19. Approved the Facility Improvement Recommendations for FY 2025 and FY 2026 20. Approved authorizing the superintendent to begin a capital improvement fundraising campaign for the construction of an agricultural building 21. Approved authorizing the superintendent to let bids for the Health Occupations’ Classroom Renovation Project 22. Approved the FY 2024 Salary Compensation Report 23. Approved the FY 2024 IMRF Compensation Report 24. Approved the 2024-2025 School Resource Officer Memorandum of Understanding for $60,192.00 25.
