Regular Meetings November 20, 2024, Regular Meeting Agenda and Minutes: Agenda Minutes Meeting Summary: During its Regular Board Meeting held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the Board of Education accomplished the following items. 1. Approved the minutes of the October 23, 2024, Regular Meeting. 2. Recognized the state-qualifying girls tennis team, Kaylee Halm, Izzy Pecchio, Grace Pecchio, Elena Leone, Cali Mickley, and Eva Cerventes, and coach Aaron Guenther, who was selected as IHSTCA Regional Girls Tennis Coach of the Year, assistant coach Scott Blessman, and volunteer assistant coach Molly Leone. 3. Mr. Brent Thomas, Mrs. Kristie Witte, and Mrs. Mollie Taylor presented the Division Spotlight, discussing recent activities in the Special Education Division. 4. Provided opportunity for public comment. 5. Approved monthly L-P bills, ACC bills, payroll, and financial statements. 6. Received correspondence from the Pescetto family. 7. Received TIF reimbursements from City of LaSalle ($117,351.93) and Village of North Utica (Tax Reimbursement TIF I - $29,528.18 and Tax Reimbursement TIF II - $6,849.60) for a total of $153,729.71. 8. Mr. Ferrari presented the Building and Grounds Committee Report. 9. Mr. Merboth presented the Finance Committee Report. 10. Mrs. Alcorn presented the Policy Committee Report. 11. Mrs. Taliani presented the Public Relations Committee Report. 12. Dr. Wrobleski presented the Superintendent’s Report, thanking the Board Members for their service, discussing the proposed tax levy, and sharing the School Report Card Presentation with Mrs. Cushing. 13. Mrs. Cushing presented the Principal’s Report, sharing information on Parent-Teacher Conferences, current academic/attendance data, students participating in the State Seal of Biliteracy test, and the Veterans Day Program. 14. Mr. Hanson presented the Athletic Director’s Report, sharing information on the completion of the fall sports season, the start of winter sports, Marching Band accomplishments, and the 2024 Hall of Honor class inductees. 15. Dr. Lange presented the ACC Director’s Report, sharing information on the early childhood education program starting little student attendance, preparing for a revitalization of the computer program, other recent ACC program projects, and a visit by Mendota High School sophomores. 16. Mr. Baker presented the Communication Report, sharing information on recent communication projects. 17. Approved placing the tentative 2024 tax levy for the school year 2025-2026 on public display in preparation for the truth-in-taxation hearing on December 18, 2024 18. Approved the 2025-2027 LP - Lostant Intergovernmental Agreement 19. Approved inducting the Class of 2024 L-P Hall of Honor inductees as recommended by the Selection Committee 20. Approved the 2024 School Report Card 21. Approved the Final Exam Waiver Policy allowing three college visits per year 22. Approved the following retirement with regret: i. Mrs. Tiara Bedenko-Hill, Business Teacher, effective the conclusion of the 2029-2030 school year 23. Approved the following resignations with regret: i. Mr. Jose Medina, Head Football Coach, effective the conclusion of the 2024-2025 school year ii. Mr. Patrick Carney, Assistant Football Coach, effective November 1, 2024 iii. Mr. Jason Hartman, Volunteer Assistant Football Coach, effective November 1, 2024 24. Approved the following appointments: i. Mr. Lucas Burris, Assistant Wrestling Coach, effective the 2024-2025 school year (replaces Mr. Mark Lorden) ii. Mr. Jeff Miller, Volunteer Assistant Girls’ Bowling Coach, effect for the 2024-2025 school year iii. Mrs. Kristi Leix, Volunteer Assistant Girls’ Bowling Coach, effective for the 2024-2025 school year iv. Mr. Andrew Wiercinski, Technology Club Advisor, effective for the 2024-2025 school year v. Autumn Roberson, Volunteer Color Guard Instructor, effective for the 2024-2025 school year 25. Reviewed and retained the following executive/closed session minutes: i.
