Regular Meetings May 15, 2024 Regular Meeting Agenda and Minutes: Agenda Minutes Board Meeting Summary: During its Regular Board Meeting held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, the Board of Education accomplished the following items. 1. Approved the minutes of the April 17, 2024, Regular Meeting. 2. Recognized Mrs. Lori Turczyn for her exceptional efforts in the ACC Culinary Program, including catering a recent meeting with the Illinois State Board of Education superintendent in attendance. 3. The English Division was spotlighted, featuring Ms. Emma Walke and students discussing activities in the yearbook program. 4. Provided an opportunity for public comment, including community members speaking on the topics of sex education standards in Illinois/L-P and the proposed changes to the electronic device policy. 5. Approved monthly L-P bills, ACC bills, payroll, and financial statements. 6. Received TIF Reimbursements from Village of Tonica for $38.71. 7. Mr. Ferrari presented the Building and Grounds Committee Report. 8. Mrs. Alcorn presented the Policy Committee Report. 9. Mr. Merboth presented the Finance Committee Report. 10. Dr. Wrobleski presented the Superintendent’s Report, sharing information on the tax levy extension, preparing for graduation ceremonies, and a FOIA request. 11. Mr. Gibson presented the Acting Principal’s Report, sharing information on the effort of faculty and staff to prepare students to graduate, graduation practice, safety drill preparation, and the return of the Renaissance Rally this spring. 12. Mr. Mentgen presented his final ACC Director’s Report, sharing information on the number of certifications and credit hours ACC students have earned this year, the upcoming Summer Showcase, and students finalizing ACC courses and projects. 13.
