We recently announced the recipients of this year's Wagenknecht and Snow scholarships.
Fifteen LaSalle-Peru Township High School seniors qualified for the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy. This honor is given to students who demonstrate a high level of proficiency in four domains (reading, writing, listening and speaking) in English and a second language on the national AAPPL (Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages) test or receive a score of 4 on the AP Spanish Language exam.

The 55th Annual Northern Illinois Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese Cultural Interpretation Contest was held on Saturday, May 3 2025, in the LPHS Matthiessen Auditorium. Over 75 students from LaSalle-Peru Township High School, (LPHS) Mendota High School (MHS) and Shepherd Middle School in Ottawa (SMS) participated in the Cultural Interpretation Contest. The contest is an excellent opportunity for students to experience culture outside the classroom. The contest includes categories in poetry recitation, music-vocal or instrumental, and art-replica/creative work/model.
On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., a Timely & Meaningful Consultation meeting, conducted by LaSalle-Peru Township High School District #120, will take place at LaSalle-Peru Township High School. The objective of this meeting is to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services for students with disabilities who attend private or home schools within the district for the 2025-26 academic year.
