The LaSalle-Peru High School Foundation invites the community to participate in their annual Trivia Night on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Senica’s Oak Ridge, LaSalle. The event begins at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6. The cost to participate is $10 per person with up to 10 people at each team table. There will be a cash bar & food available for purchase along with raffles and 50/50. To reserve a table, call Cristina Sarabia at LPHS at 815-220-2769.

During the LaSalle-Peru Township High School High Scholarship Legion Honors Program on the evening of February 26, 2026, students were recognized for earning High Scholarship status for multiple semesters. High scholarship awards are presented to those students that have a G.P.A of at least 3.50. Students who have been awarded with High Scholarship Legion for three semesters will receive a pin. Students who have earned this recognition for five or seven semesters will receive a medal. These pins and medals may be worn at graduation.

LaSalle-Peru Township High School seniors Bo Weitl  and Drew Depenbrock  are L-P's 2026 Starved Rock Region Illinois Principal Association John Ourth Award recipients.  The award was presented following a recognition breakfast ceremony held on February 25. Students from school districts in the region are recommended for this honor by their school principals based on character, citizenship, leadership skills and scholarship as well as possessing the potential to make a difference in the world.

Riley Hintzsche, the new agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at LaSalle-Peru Township High School, has been selected as a recipient of a 2026 CASE Implementation Grant from Corteva Agriscience, supporting enhanced curriculum and hands-on learning opportunities in agricultural education. The funding award of $5,000 will support the implementation and expansion of CASE 4 Learning (Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education) programming at the school.
