Attention all students interested in LP Girls Track: There will be a brief informational meeting at 7:15 am on Tuesday, December 16, in Coach Carney’s room (127). If you cannot attend the meeting, please stop by Coach Carney’s room during the week to receive information about the upcoming season.

Please return or renew all library books by the due date. You will be charged fines for books overdue at the end of the semester.

Attention Seniors, this is your reminder that the Foundation Scholarships at IVCC are now open and are due by February 5th. The Foundation application may be found at ivcc.edu at the top of the homepage.  LP will hold a workshop to introduce Foundation Scholarship applications on January 8th during 2nd and 3rd hours to help any senior that is interested in attending IVCC to begin their Foundation Scholarship applications. If you are interested in attending the Foundation Scholarship workshop on January 8th, please look for an email from Mrs. Balestri to sign up. Please direct any questions to Mr. Placher.

Attention CavalCare Students: Please check your email for a message from Mrs. Brooker and Mrs. Eichelkraut. This email contains important information and a Google Form that must be completed by Wednesday.

Attention Cavalier Leaders!!! Are you someone who wants to take action, build international understanding, and make new friends around the world? Come and join the LP Interact Club! We can help you develop your leadership skills while you discover the power of Service Above Self and find out how serious leadership can be seriously fun! Our next meeting is Tuesday, Dec 9th at 7:15am in Rm 224.  We will be discussing our next service project and watching a video update from our exchange student in Brazil, Elizabeth Sawdey.

Seniors! Senior Superlative voting is now open. Look for an email from Yearbook Staff. Voting closes the last day of finals and winners will be contacted when we return in January. See Ms. Walke in room 156 with questions.

There will be a debate club meeting in room 226 starting at 3:10 on Wednesday December 10th.  If you can’t make it, please stop by before or email Mr. Thomas for more information. 

Would you like to earn a cookie and cocoa study session for your 2^nd hour class on December 17th? If so, please bring in any new toys to donate to Renaissance's Toy Drive this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The class with the largest number of participating students and the class with most toys collected overall will be recognized. Winners will be announced at Friday's Huddle.

Attention Renaissance Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Red card holders: This week is free treat day. If you have A Lunch, you can get your treat on Tuesday. B Lunch is Wednesday, and C lunch is Thursday. You must have your Renaissance card available to be hole-punched in order to receive your treat.

Congratulations to our varsity cavalier cheerleaders as they advance to the ICCA state competition  in January. This weekend they brought home hardware in both of their participating divisions with a second place and first place finish!

On Dec 4th, we will meet in Rm 225 after school and then travel to HiTech in Oglesby and work on the Winter Wonderland mural until 6pm and arrive back at LP by 6:15pm.

Calling all potential lightweight wrestlers, our boys wrestling team needs anyone 106 lbs. to 130lbs. The weight classes we need are 106 113 120 126. This is JV and Varsity positions. Anyone still welcome to join, we can to you what you need to know. Join the wrestling family!

Hello Cavaliers! Key Club will meet Thursday morning at 7:20 in room 118. We will be working on upcoming projects for December including preparing for Santa's Workshop and a fundraiser for Illinois Valley PADS. We hope to see you there!

There will be testing in the East gym and Sellet gym on Tues. Dec. 2nd, Wed. Dec.3rd, and Thurs. Dec.4th.  All P.E. Classes will meet in the auditorium.

Students wanting to change their schedule for 2^nd semester can start making those requests on December 1^st.   Changes must be made BEFORE winter break.

Cavs’ Sip-n-Savor will be closed on Tuesday, November 25^th.  Have a great break and we will see you on Tuesday, December 2.

Winter ACT and Pre-ACT Benchmarking will be on the following days: 

Juniors - (Tuesday) December 2^nd 

Sophomores - (Wednesday) December 3^rd 

Freshmen - (Thursday) December 4^th 

Please check your emails for testing specifics.  Testing rooms are based on homerooms. On your testing day, please have a charged chrome book and pencil. 

There will be an intramural bags tournament on Wednesday November 19^th at 7:00 in the south balcony of the Sellett gym. Sign up your team outside of the PE office or see Mr. Keating. Any questions see Mr. Keating.
