Through school-wide initiatives, small-group activities, and individual counseling services, students at LaSalle-Peru are inspired to become life-long learners and leaders in their community. By fostering a safe and challenging environment student strive for success, meet the challenges of an ever-changing and diverse world, and become advocates for their future.

    School Counseling Program Vision Statement:

    The vision of the LaSalle-Peru Township High School Counseling Program is that every graduate possesses to the tools necessary to be successful in overcoming the academic, post-secondary, and social-emotional challenges they will face in their daily lives. We envision that our students will strive for excellence, develop a passion for life-long learning, and grow to become leaders within their school and community.

    School Counseling Program Beliefs:

    Counselors at LaSalle-Peru Township High School believe:

    1. All students have a right to a comprehensive school counseling program that helps them to achieve their greatest potential.
    2. The School Counseling program should be proactive in nature and responsive to the specific and diverse needs of our students.
    3. The National Standards and Competencies as set forth by the American School Counselor Association guide our program to meet the academic, career, and social-emotional needs of our students.

    The counseling office is excited to announce they are actively planning to apply for RAMP recognition (Recognized ASCA Model Program).
