Family & Consumer Sciences

  • The Family & Consumer Sciences Division is concerned with enhancing the social, intellectual, economic, aesthetic, An FCS class. and physical well-being of both individuals and families. The courses in the division provide the students with the basic skills and tools necessary to perform the various functions of the family. Family members will need to know how to use critical thinking skills to analyze the effects of technology and its multitude of new resources and products on the family. Courses in this division offer opportunities for creative expression and personal fulfillment as well
    as employment skills. Applied arts credit is given for all Family and Consumer Science courses A fee is required for enrollment in all foods related courses. Students are required to purchase all materials for sewing.
