The purpose of Sophomore Advisory Board is to help students develop leadership, time management, and organizational skills. Students will also participate in community service projects to achieve gold cord hours and will raise money for their Senior Prom. |
| Junior Advisory Board | Angie Hartman | The purpose of Junior Advisory Board is to develop the characteristics of hard work, collaboration, and time management to achieve goals, specifically - making a memorable variety show and raising money for their Senior Prom. |
| Senior Advisory Board | Jen Scoma & Ericka Tomminello | The purpose of Senior Advisory Board is to teach students how to plan, organize, and raise money for activities and decorations for the senior prom. Fundraisers include spirit wear and yard sign sales. |
| ACES | Eric Bjerkaas | ACES (Academic Challenge for Engineering and Science) is an academic competition during which students take two multiple-choice tests designed to challenge the brightest high school students with material drawn from high school senior and college freshman curricula to present a bridge between secondary and higher education. This competition was formerly known as WYSE and JETS when run by the University of Illinois until 2018. |

| Bass Fishing | Jim Cherveny | The purpose of the Bass Fishing Club is to provide high-interest recreational activities structured to support the academic and character development of students while promoting positive contributions to the environment and community. |

| CAVS Day | Nicole Kowalczyk & Michele Doerr | CAVS (Cavaliers Activating Voices of Support) Day is a transformitive social-emotional program empowering students to communicate, build relationships, and cultivate empathy. CAVS Day fosters a positive school culture and strives to increase connection and resilience by teaching essential life skills through team-building activities and games. |
| Chess Club | Mike Fisher | The purpose of Chess Club is to teach critical thinking skills and strategies, while creating a safe, but challenging and competitive environment for students after school. |

The purpose of the Computer Club is to teach students 21st Century computer technology skills including PCs, software, and peripherals in order to take on a technology school service project. Students have also produced programs such as the Lunch Hour podcast, CavCast news and live sports programs. |

| Dungeons & Dragons Club | Alexandra West | Dungeons and Dragons is an inclusive club for LPHS students, bringing them together to collectively work on their problem-solving, communication, and creativity skill, all while engaging in team-work, storytelling, and worldbuilding during their shared adventures. |
| FBLA | The purpose of FBLA is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and community development programs; promote literacy to all students. | |
| FFA | Riley Hintzsche | FFA (formerly Future Farmers of America) is a youth organization for middle and high school students focused on agricultural education, leadership, personal growth, and career success. While its name reflects the historical agricultural roots, FFA has expanded to include all aspects of agriculture, food, and natural resource systems, helping members develop skills for diverse careers such as biotechnology, veterinary medicine, and entrepreneurship. |
| Foreign Language Club | Christine Theisinger | The purpose of Foreign Language Club is to provide activities of diversity, engender pride to enhance student interest in the languages, customs, foods, and cultures of the French, German, and Spanish-speaking areas of the world. |
| Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) | Danielle McCoin | The club's main purpose is to both spread awareness about the LBGTQ+ community among L-P and to provide a safe space where students do not have to fear being who they are. |
| Green Team | Kyle Pytel | The purpose of Green Team is teach students about environmental issues locally and nationally, along with positively dealing with these issues including school wide recycling of paper, plastic, and aluminum. |
| FCCLA | Alyssa Cherveny | The purpose of FCCLA is to promote personal growth and leadership by obtaining life skills including character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communications, practical knowledge, and vocational preparation. |

The purpose of the Impressions Staff is to solicit, collect, and paginate student work in a publishable format. The Impressions literary magazine features the best student-created poetry, short fiction, essays, sketches, photography, and graphic art from our student body. | Interact Club | Julie Jenkins | It is a service club that provides leadership and service opportunities on a local and global level. We organize projects each year to provide students with opportunities to help our school and local community as well as promoting an international understanding. Our club is sponsored by the Illinois Valley Sunrise Rotary Club. |

Through the JSA Organization, the goal is to educate future participants in the United States Democracy, and encourage educated voting and civil debate amongst differing views. This also includes participating in the Organization’s many conventions where it allows students to meet and converse with other students around the Midwest. In this aspect of the club, students will be taught and given opportunities to learn about pressing issues currently facing the country. |

Key Club is a high school organization sponsored by Kiwanis. Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels. |

A nationally recognized program that has proven to be a successful motivator in encouraging students to reach new academic, attendance and behavioral heights. |
| Scholastic Bowl | The purpose of Scholastic Bowl is to compete academically against other high schools. In doing this, we will create an atmosphere where students are involved, work as a team, and feel that they are an important part of the diverse community that is LP High School, & have a positive high school experience. | |

| Student Publications | Emma Walke | To teach students skills in page design, photography, journalism, Adobe Suites (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.), and fundraising. Students produce an award-winning annual yearbook reflecting the school year and current trends in design, as well as attend the IHSA Journalism competition in the spring. |

Students will be exposed to industry professionals that range from petroleum engineers to project managers.
