As of August 13, 2020, LPHS has had to adjust our student bus transporation plans for the 2020-2021 school year. Our original plan was to place bus monitors on each of the buses in order to take temperatures and check for COVID-19 symptoms. Unfortunately, we've run into more challenges staffing the buses that is not going to allow that to happen.
Instead, we are implementing a self-certification access ticket in which the students' parent and/or guardian will need to certify that you have taken your child's temperature each morning and verify that they are not showing any symptoms. Click here for a copy of the self-certification access ticket for the first week of school. Please cut one ticket out for each day. Don't send the full sheet to school with your student.
1. For the first week of school, students must show this ticket to their bus driver in order to access the bus.
2. Students must wear masks the entire time on the bus.
3. Once at LP, students will turn in their bus ticket to one of the staff members at our designated entrances.
4. ALL students - including bus riders - will be temperature and symptom checked before they are allowed access into the school each day.
We are working on an electronic form that parents can complete once per week verifying that you promise to take your child's temperature and check for symptoms each day before they leave for the bus. Once that is ready to go live, we will send out instructions.
