LPHS Registration Fall 2020

  • Make-up Registration Information:

For any family that missed the original in-person registration dates, there will be a make-up registration session on Friday, Aug. 14 from 8-11:30 a.m. Prior to attending in-person registration, families should complete online registration. As part of that process, families will choose between the blended learning or 100% remote learning plans for the first quarter of the school year. That decision needs to be made by the end of the day on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

Freshman and transfer students need to prove residency by bringing in paperwork from the two categories on their blue sheet in the packet that was mailed to families earlier this summer. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors need to bring only one document/ID that shows they are at the same address as last school year. ID pictures will be taken during in-person registration.

    Original Registration Information:

Registration for the 2020-2021 school year at LaSalle-Peru Township High School has two components, online and in-person. In Step 1, online registration, of this process, you will need to declare whether your child(children) will be learning with the in-person blended option or the 100% remote option. This is a very important step that will help up determine the number of people in the building during the school day and help us to occupy spaces safely. During Step 2, in-person registration, you will be required to wear a mask and will be screened. Freshman and transfer students will need to bring with them the Residency Form (filled out) and any two proofs of residency that are listed from the two required categories(must be one from each category). This form was included in the packet that was mailed home to each student. If you did not receive the Residency Form, please get in touch with the school for a new copy or download a copy of the form below. Freshman, please make sure your school physical is complete and bring in a copy of it for the nurse. Any returning Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors will only need to bring one proof of address such as a bill or license to match the address we have on file; no Residency Form will be required. All students, please refer to the information sent home for times and dates specific to your grade level and last name.

The general process for onsite walk-thru registration follows:

Please enter through the main doors on 6th street.  To comply with IDPH and CDC guidelines we are asking that you come during your designated days and times to avoid overcrowding. So you are aware, we will be temperature checking and asking screening questions to all visitors during registration. We require that you wear a mask. If you do not have a mask you will not be able to enter the building. Please limit the number of people coming to registration. The student(s) and one parent is what we are asking families to adhere to. To alleviate long lines, please follow the schedule listed below:

During the onsite walk-thru registration, students will have yearbook and ID photos taken, return any remaining forms, see the nurse, if needed, and finalize any remaining fees. At this time we are not requiring the purchase of P.E. uniforms or locks. Please bring back any textbooks and materials you may have from last year to drop off as well. The students’ schedules will be made available on Powerschool as we near registration. When this is made visible, your student’s bus route will be part of the information you can see under the “about me” section. The bus routes are included in this packet. In it’s continuing effort to enhance information security, LPHS is adopting a stronger password requirement for the student’s PowerSchool login account. A new password will be sent to your child’s LP email account by July 20. Please have your child check his or her LP email for their new password.
