Career & Technical Education

  • The Career and Technical Education Division (CTE) offers a comprehensive curriculum which includes drafting, electricity, graphic arts, machining skills, photography, welding, and woods. These courses are laboratory classes, which provide skills, such as problem solving and group work necessary to adult life. CTE courses fulfill the practical arts graduation requirement. If you are interested in engineering, architecture, graphics design, electronics, machining skills, fire science, welding,or construction management, you should enroll in the CTE program. CTE is a rapidly growing and changing field of study. The CTE curriculum at LP will give students the latest information necessary to prepare for careers in this and related fields after high school graduation. In some classes, a fee is charged to cover the cost of materials for project work.
