Mrs. Carol Navarro

I call East Peoria, Illinois my hometown. I was born and raised there and lived there with my mom and 2 brothers until I went to college. I went to Aurora University and played basketball and softball. Our 1983 Aurora softball team was inducted into the AU Hall of Fame in October 2018 for being the most successful team finishing fourth in NCAA softball tournament. So proud to have been a part of this team. Earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology then a Master of Science in Physical Education specializing in Athletic Training and Physiology, Type 75 Certification in General Administration. Have been married since 1988 and am a mother of 3 beautiful daughters. I have worked in health care for 10 years as a physical therapist assistant and athletic trainer for patients with traumatic brain injuries, taught at North Central College for 15 years, worked as athletic director, athletic trainer, taught biology, anatomy, and athletic training classes at Newark High school for past 21 years. I am really excited to become a Cavalier! I want to use my experience to assist LP students find their educational passion and strive to prepare for their future. My main goal as an educator is to make a difference in student's lives and give them as many tools as possible to become successful members of society.
