School Counseling Mission Statement:
The mission of the LaSalle-Peru Township High School Counseling Program is to develop and deliver a comprehensive, developmental, and data-driven school counseling program holding each student to the highest of standards. Through school-wide initiatives, small-group activities, and individual counseling services, students at LaSalle-Peru are inspired to become life-long learners and leaders in their community. By fostering a safe and challenging environment student strive for success, meet the challenges of an ever-changing and diverse world, and become advocates for their future.
School Counseling Program Vision Statement:
The vision of the LaSalle-Peru Township High School Counseling Program is that every graduate possesses to the tools necessary to be successful in overcoming the academic, post-secondary, and social-emotional challenges they will face in their daily lives. We envision that our students will strive for excellence, develop a passion for life-long learning, and grow to become leaders within their school and community.
School Counseling Program Beliefs:
Counselors at LaSalle-Peru Township High School believe:
- All students have a right to a comprehensive school counseling program that helps them to achieve their greatest potential.
- The School Counseling program should be proactive in nature and responsive to the specific and diverse needs of our students.
- The National Standards and Competencies as set forth by the American School Counselor Association guide our program to meet the academic, career, and social-emotional needs of our students.
