Marie Torres Cooper

Working with people is something I have always enjoyed. I love working with students and really enjoy when they have an aha moment as they gain knowledge of themselves or the world around them. I am a special education teacher and growing up in a bilingual home, I have the blessing of speaking two languages. I have also taught in a bilingual program working with Spanish speaking students. I especially love helping students find strategies to assist them toward becoming successful life learners. I have two wonderful sons, two dogs one cat and am married to one amazing man! I was born in Chicago and have had the privilege of traveling around the world in the military, where I learned a great career there before becoming a teacher.
