Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Natalie Verucchi

With roots in the Illinois Valley, I am grateful to be teaching here at LPHS. I graduated from Hall High School and went on to study at IVCC and Southern Illinois University Carbondale, majoring in Music Education (Vocal), with studies in Theater and Dance. During my college years, I performed in many musicals with the Marjorie Lawrence Opera Theatre, Mcleod Summer Playhouse, Opera on Wheels, and danced with the Southern Illinois Repertory Dance Theater. After graduating, I spent some years in Chicago performing and studying comedy at The Second City Training Center. My time in the city led me on to the adventure of backpacking Central/South America for several years, tutoring children in Math/English and learning Spanish myself. After my travels and studies, I am happy to be back to my roots, raise a family, and utilize my real world experience in the classroom. Previously, I have taught Music and Choir at Oglesby, Deer Park, and Peru Parkside. I look forward to completing a Master's degree in Choral Conducting and directing the Spring Musicals in the beautiful Matthiessen Auditorium. Go Cavs!
