    The SAT is scheduled for tomorrow. All participants should arrive no later than 7:40. Please bring your completed self-certification form. The exam will start PROMPTLY at 7:45. Room assignments have been sent to student email accounts. PLEASE CHECK YOUR LPHS EMAIL so you know which room you should report to. Please make sure you bring #2 pencils, an approved calculator, and your LPHS ID. 

     

    There will be no scheduled L-P or ACC classes on Tuesday, April 13, due to the SAT administration. Classes will resume on Wednesday, April 14.

     

    Variety Show rehearsal is Tuesday at 3:00 in the Sellett Gym. Please see Mrs. Hartman if you have any questions.

     

    Any boy that is interested in going out for the tennis team this school year, please see Mr. Guenther in room 146. Experience not required! Try something new and learn the basics of a lifetime sport.

     

    This is a reminder that the US History award exam for seniors is tomorrow, April 13th at 1:00 in room 128.

     

    Attention all seniors! A $500 scholarship has been established for an LP senior planning to attend a 2-or 4-year school or trade school. There is no minimum gpa. The student must simply complete the application at the following link including list of activities, work experience, community service and a 1-page or less essay by April 26.

    Attention seniors: There will be 2 upcoming FAFSA help sessions through ISAC, Tuesday, April 13th and Wednesday, April 14th. There is no sign-up required.   Just join the zoom for the FAFSA information and individual help on this graduation requirement located on the Counseling homepage.

    The theme is “Stronger Together” and the Spirit Day dress-ups are as follows:

    (this could be emergency responders, local heroes, or any of your favorite popular superheroes)

    Friday: Cavalier Spirit Day (so wear Red & Green)

    Also there will be a 7th hour Door Decorating Contest representing our theme “Stronger Together” and the winning class will receive a prize during Friday’s 7th hour Virtual Pep Rally!

    Attention all softball players:  Softball tryouts will start on Monday morning, April 5th at 7:00 a.m.  If you are planning to attend tryout, please contact Coach Huebbe for all information.

     

    The literacy lab is open Monday through Thursday during 7th hour or 12:45 pm to 2:45pm by appointment.  The purpose of this lab is to help students with their academic reading and writing learning. Help is available for all levels of the writing process.

    There will be a yearbook meeting at 2:40pm on Wednesday, March 31st. Anyone interested in joining yearbook club or the class should attend. Please email Ms. West for the virtual meeting link. 

     

    Attention science club:  our next meeting will be Thursday, April 1st at 1:00 in room 306 to continue the animal behavior activity we started last week.  If you can attend, please email Mrs. Depenbrock or Mrs. Kochis. 

     

    Attention, girls interested in track and field: the season starts April 5th.  Contact Coach Beatty by email or come to room 304 if interested.  Two sport athletes are welcome.

    ATTENTION SENIORS:  Please check your email for a link to complete a short survey regarding this year's promenade.  Please submit your response by Wednesday, March 31st.   If you have any questions, you can contact Mrs. Turczyn or Mrs. Lamboley. 

     

    The SAT will be held on Tuesday, April 13, for all juniors and any senior who did not test in the Fall and who wishes to take the exam. The SAT is not required for seniors. Seniors who would like to take the exam on April 13, should email Mr. Gibson by Wednesday, March 31, to register. Juniors do NOT have to register for the exam. All juniors will test on April 13. If there are any questions about the SAT, please contact Mr. Gibson.

    ACCESS testing will be held tomorrow, March 30, for Freshmen and Sophomores and Thursday, April 1, for Juniors and Seniors. You should have received a notification from Mrs. Liebhart if you are testing. The Cavalier Community Room (Room 101 on the 1st Floor) will be used for this testing. Please make sure to bring your FULLY CHARGED chromebook on the day of your test. Testing will begin PROMPTLY at 7:45.

    Attention Writing Club:   Our March meeting will be on Tuesday, March 30 at 2:40 PM. in Mrs. Phillips' room (147). If you can't attend in person, join the Google Classroom Meet link. Hope to see everyone attend!

     

    Attention all seniors:  It remains a graduation requirement to complete your FAFSA.  If you have not already done so, please contact your counselor or Daniela Rios from ISAC for one-on-one help.     Attention seniors: There were 3 scholarships recently posted under the Illinois Valley Scholarships on the lphs.net webpage: Carol Greening Memorial Nursing Scholarship, Deb Pyszka Memorial Scholarship, and Brian Lamps Memorial Physical Therapy Scholarship.

     

    Attention students:   The Streator Onized Credit Union (SOCU) is offering five $500.00 scholarships and three $250 scholarships. For more information and eligibility requirements, check out the scholarship page under Illinois Valley Scholarships. The deadline is April 1st.

     

    Girls' soccer first regular season practice is April 5 at LP Sports Complex.

    Last two preseason workouts are today, March 29 and Wednesday, March 31 from 1:30-3pm at LP Sports Complex unless inclement weather.  Please contact Coach Pappas or the athletic office if you have any questions.

     

    Attention Seniors, if you received A’s both semesters in US History or Honors US History you are eligible to take a comprehensive examination in American History to determine a winner for the Knights of Columbus Award. The test will be given in Room 128 at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13th. Check your school email for more information.
